Hey there, folks! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

We know you've all been waiting a while for a new review from us, but between trips out of state and a host out of sorts, it's been a rough month. It's good to be back doing what we enjoy, and we appreciate your patience.

Today's attraction review brings us to the (now very quickly changing!) gates of Disney's Hollywood Studios to tackle an attraction that's at its forefront. The Great Movie Ride opened with the Studios in 1989 to critical acclaim, loved by fans the world over. It's an attraction so big that we can't do it all in one go…and there's plot afoot! Fed Up #6 - I Can't Relate: Diagon Alley

Hey there, folks! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

TAP-G's doing today's episode solo, bringing you the 6th installment of our Fed Up series. It's based on the very real experience of not being too much into Harry Potter and having to immerse himself into it completely to try and enjoy the Wizarding Worlds at both Universal parks, he explains his standpoint on the phenomenon. We welcome your input as to -what- TAP-G might be missing, but ask that you remain kind. Inappropriate comments will be moderated appropriately.

Episode 78 - Rest in Pieces: Body Wars

Greetings, folks! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

With all the recent news of attraction closures all along Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot, we thought it was high time that we did another RIP episode! Seems that a lot of the rides we intended to cover are going that way anymore…

Today's episode holds a particularly special place in SurferClock's heart, but we know a lot of you were fond of it, too! So today, we're going to pay our respects to one of Walt Disney World's pioneering attractions, Body Wars! 1989 would bring WDW's first motion simulator ride in the form of this journey through the human body. Episode 76 - The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

Hello there, folks! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

I think I'm going to stop trying to predict what we'll do for the next episode, because I've gotten really bad at it. Two fumbles in a row kinda burned me.

Anywho! Today, we're actually going back over to Universal's Islands of Adventure, because we've barely begun to scratch the surface of cool things to do over there. Chief among them are the pulse-pounding thrills to be found at Marvel Superhero Island…today, we're going to the Daily Bugle to check out the recently-reworked Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man! This opening-day 3D simulator puts you straight into the middle of the action as roving reporters attempting to get the scoop for the Daily Bugle. In classic theme park fashion, something goes wrong! Is this report a headliner, or will it need to scope out the classifieds to find new work? Find out with today's episode!

WTA Editorial 2 - Have 'Behind the Scenes' Become Obsolete?

Hello there, folks. SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

We know we promised a Top 10 List, and we'd decided on the Top 10 Queues in the Parks. However, between the new stuff that's opened and some contention between us, we haven't finished the list or writing the episode. So, we've brought along a new editorial as our upload for the week. We take a look at the growing tendency of studio parks to immerse the guests in the worlds of their movies and shows rather than show them how these things get made. Today's editorial asks the big question: "Have 'Behind the Scenes' Become Obsolete?"

No new episode this week + IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hello there, folks. SurferClock here to remind you that today, there will be no new episode of "What's the Attraction?"

I also have a very important announcement regarding the production schedule of the show. Starting from this week and onward into the foreseeable future, "What's the Attraction?" will now be produced BI-WEEKLY. This means one episode every two weeks, rather than being produced every week. This was a tough decision that TAP-G and I dwelled on for quite some time. We came to this decision in order to continue bringing you all the very best podcast that we can while maintaining and preserving the creative spirit that the show was founded upon. We hope that you all will understand and respect this decision, and will continue to stand by us despite new content only coming in every other week. We appreciate each and every one of you!

Episode 75 - Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Greetings, listeners! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G and TowerGirl, and are very excited to bring you this latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

In 2014, a number of exciting theme park developments have taken place…from the Frozen Summer Fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios to the grand opening of Universal Studios Florida's Diagon Alley, but despite the anticipation, we are only ready to review one of the new offerings currently. So today, we are happy to bring you our review of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This newest mountain at Magic Kingdom Park is a family coaster anchored at the center of New Fantasyland. From the grand opening of the land, nearly 2 years passed before the centerpiece opened up. Was it worth the wait? Find out what the boys think with today's much-requested episode by clicking below.

Theme Park Reel-view #4 - The LEGO Movie

Hello there, listeners! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

As promised, we're tackling a Theme Park Reel-view of The LEGO Movie to help start our coverage of Legoland Florida, a park that's a little out of our way. February 2014 brought us "The LEGO Movie" from Warner Brothers, and it also brought in a ton of money! But was it just cameo-charged and catchy-tune infused to bring butts to seats, or was it genuinely a memorable film? Find out what we thought by having a listen to out super-sized and spoiler-rific episode down below.

Episode 74 - The Magic of Disney Animation

Hello there, folks. SurferClock here, along with TAP-G (or should I say Tap-Gracy?) to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

On this episode, we bring back the film noir style last seen for Test Track, as Tap-Gracy whets his whistle at a little speakeasy in Downtown Orlando, where a motley crew of familiar characters hangs out, lamenting the loss of the once-popular Disney Florida Animation Studio. What sits in its place is, actually, the attraction we will be reviewing today…and while The Magic of Disney Animation does still have some of the Florida studio remnants, it's ultimately more of a walk-through gallery or museum. What did we think of it? Find out by clicking the link below!

No episode this week

Hey folks, SurferClock here with a quick announcement regarding the podcast. There will be no episode released this week due to a minor health issue affecting TAP-G. Episode 73 - Primeval Whirl

Hey there, folks! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

We're returning to Disney's Animal Kingdom with all its grandeur and beauty to look at...well, certainly not one of the best attractions, but one we needed to get done. Primeval Whirl came along in 2002 as part of Chester and Hester's Dino-Rama! to draw in more kids. Described as a wild-mouse style coaster, it takes riders on a 2.5 minute trip to the end of time, though not nearly as epic as DINOSAUR. So, what'd the guys think of it? Find out as WTA takes it way, way back to the end of an era today!

Fed Up! #5 - Gay Days Backlash

Hello there, folks. SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

I'm actually stepping aside and allowing TAP-G to helm today's episode, as he takes on what might be the most controversial Fed Up! issue we've done yet, but after much consideration and deliberation, we feel it was a decent episode and that it would be best to have TAP-G take it on. Today's Fed Up! episode addresses Gay Days, an annual celebration of the LGBT community taking place in the Central Florida theme parks each summer. It is not sponsored by the theme park companies. More specifically, TAP-G is speaking out about being fed up regarding the backlash by the groups opposing its presence. Listen in and find out more about what's got him so fed up about it.

Fed Up #4 - Why Do Our Favorite Attractions Get Closed and/or Replaced?

Hello there, folks. SurferClock here to bring you today's episode of "What's the Attraction?"

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we don't have all of our staff on hand to record the Mission:SPACE episode scheduled for today. While we do apologize for the inconvenience that this causes, I was prepared for today and wrote a solo episode, the next in the Fed Up series!

While TAP-G and I normally alternate this segment (and he was supposed to go next), I found myself recently thinking about all of the change I've seen in the parks since my interest was first piqued in them, and how upset most of this change seems to make most folks. Anyone with any interest in this industry has experienced some form of change, but why do companies do it, even with seemingly beloved attractions? Today's Fed Up segment will dive into that...so jump right in!

WTA Speculates - The Future of Frozen in the Disney Parks

Hello, everyone! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

This week, we're taking a break from reviewing attractions to have a nice, rational discussion about a very popular film, Frozen...more specifically, its future in the theme parks. We managed to get a series of questions put together, including one question from a Facebook fan, to discuss what the future might hold in a new segment we're calling "WTA Speculates!" It's less structured than other episodes, so it's about double the length of a regular episode. We hope you enjoy it, and we encourage you to leave a comment on YouTube, Facebook, or even here if you agree, disagree, or have any input or insight you can contribute! And with 5 Mondays in March, the gap had to be filled with just one more thing...so, we decided to do a Theme Park Reel-view of the first Pirates movie! The film came out in 2003, and with the previous year's offering of The Country Bears, most everyone dreaded another Disney theme park ride adaptation...but now that it's sprawned a hit franchise, it's time we took a look at the film that started it all! Enjoy!

Episode 63 - Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey

Greetings, loyal listeners! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

Many of you will finally be hailing with great fervor our return to actually reviewing theme park attractions! ...but probably not the lower-quality audio that we also had last week. My laptop is still being repaired at this time, so we've had to make use of a backup for the time being. Sorry about that.

Now then, we've been avoiding heading back to Islands of Adventure ever since the Cat in the Hat episode...remember that? Yeah, EPISODE 8. So yeah, it's been a while, and with the Wizarding World set to expand this summer over to Universal Studios Florida, we suppose it's high time we tread into Hogsmeade and ride everyone's favorite, "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey!" Opening with the Wizarding World on June 18, 2010, it's been going strong ever since, winning awards and taking names, even contributing to Universal Orlando's first ever 'more-than-Disney' attendance! Such a legend deserves a comprehensive look, and that's what we intend on doing! Join us for a 20-minute review of "Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey!"

Theme Park Reel-view #2: Blackfish

Hey there, listeners. SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

As promised last week, Reel-view #2 is here, and we're doing Blackfish! If the episode seems a little long, it's because unlike all our other episodes, we typically don't edit Reel-views, and we had a lot to say (and cite) regarding this film. Controversy has abounded regarding Blackfish, a 2013 documentary by one Gabriela Cowperthwaite which takes a look at an orca attack at SeaWorld Florida in 2010 that took the life of one Dawn Brancheau by first making its way through Tilikum the orca's history, a sweeping and overall look at the state of orcas in captivity. What did we think of it? Well, listen in, and know that unlike Ms. Cowperthwaite, we didn't rely on snappy editing and omission of facts to make our opinion known.

Rolly Crump and the Forbidden Blooper (2013 Blooper Reel)

Grittings and salad-tations! ...wait, no, that's not it.
Hyia! ...nope, that's not it either.

Why don't I just stick with Hello. There we go. SurferClock here, and while we're on a brief break, let me just say that the editing process removes many of the imperfections that a live show would not allow us to get out. Sometimes, the flubs are simple things like mis-speaking or misreading a line, but sometimes, they can be a little bit more.

I've been keeping a file full of them, or at least the best ones, and now, I'm releasing all of 2013's best ones in a compilation that today, I'm calling "Rolly Crump and the Forbidden Blooper." Rolly Crump was one of the Imagineers who worked on the Haunted Mansion attraction, and when I had a little trouble saying his name, it would start a legacy of legendary flubs. So enjoy this, our special treat to all you amazing fans...listen to us flub lines like crazy!

WTA RECUT: Episode 5 - Country Bear Jamboree

Howdy, folks! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

Here it is, folks! We're concluding the WTA Recut project TODAY! Here, in what I think is probably one of the best recuts we've done, is the Country Bear Jamboree episode! Of course, back when we first did it, the attraction was a bit longer. Now cut down to 10 minutes, it was only fair that we went back and reviewed it once more with the new show fresh in mind.

It's been parodied everywhere from Lester's Possum Park to the Goofy Gopher Review, from A Goofy Movie to Futurama, and now, it's here once again, related in a way only WTA can. An opening day attraction in Florida's Magic Kingdom, it continues to draw typically the most reminiscent of folks in. Is it worth another look, given its fresh coat of paint and truncated length? Journey with us and find out together!

Join us then for a Theme Park Reel-view of a 2013 film that's caused quite a stir in the theme park community.

WTA RECUT: Episode 4 - Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure

Hello, listeners! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the latest episode of "What's the Attraction?"

I'm sure you folks are probably getting a little antsy over the lack of actual new episodes, but we're just one other episode away from our triumphant 2014 return! Today, we're exploring The Big Backyard as Teenie Weenies! And no, we're not Grounded...this is a fresh look at the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure at Disney's Hollywood Studios. At the time before its deletion, the two episode parts of the original cut had nearly 500 combined views! Suffice it to say we've topped it for sure in a straightforward review we hope you'll enjoy.

WTA RECUT: Episode 2 - Men in Black: Alien Attack!

Salutations, listeners! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the next episode of the WTA Recut Project!

Episode 2's "Men in Black: Alien Attack" wasn't all that lively the first time around, between talking about the ride itself and a listless discussion, it needed re-doing. And now, it has been re-done! 10 minutes less in runtime and an actual story! Listen on and enjoy.

WTA RECUT: Episode 1 - The Big Three

Happy New Year, WTA fans! SurferClock here, along with TAP-G, to bring you the first episode of "What's the Attraction?"

Wait, first?! Did the show regenerate like a certain TV doctor? Nope, and if you've been paying attention to the Facebook page, you'll notice we hit 100 likes some time ago. We promised you all a re-cut of the show's first five episodes, all of which have no fewer than two parts each on YouTube, lack cover art, and are long and rambling in nature.

With the new year, we figured we'd ring it in by re-imagining the first five episodes with better stories, less length, and cover art we can actually upload to YouTube!

Episode 1 covers The Big Three, the theme parks in which the podcast spends the most time. SeaWorld, Universal, and Disney are summarized historically, and discussion between TAP-G and I establishes the parks' styles and why they have been a success and will continue to succeed in the years ahead.

Here now, with 25 minutes of length cut from the runtime (from 46 minutes to 21 minutes!), an updated history for SeaWorld, and intelligent discussion, is Episode 1, recut!
